Lantz’s – Smoked Porter – 4.5 Smokestacks of Happiness

image

“Totally the most awesome beer I’ve ever tasted… like top five!” said one extremely enthusiastic Ministry official who unashamedly backed off his “the most awesome” statement to settle for a “like top five” clairifier. Lantz’s was reviewed by 3 recently ordained ministers and The WitchDoctor at an offsite tasting, hence the unfamiliar Voodoo Altar (which is technically a Hoodoo Altar according to scholars). It’s good beer and should be available in stores soon. It’s good in the same way that Stone Smoked everythings is available coast to coast but somehow never wow’s the Ministry. Comments made include: Good for an up and coming brewer, malty, peaty, smoke presence, looks like Coca-Cola, burns a little going down, good carbonation, and bitter. Keep an eye out for Lantz’s Smoked Porter, and Lucille and Elvis will will keep an eye out for you. Overall Happiness 4.5
