Braustelle – Freigeist Abraxxxas Smoked Lichtenhainer Weisse – 5 out of 7

Freigeist Abraxxxas is a lichtenhainer kind of beer, which is apparently slightly different from gratzers (both are kinds of smoked beers with high wheat content and a sour taste). Abraxxxas comes off as extremely similar, delivering the same compulsion to down about three or four of these on a hot day while doing yard work. As I poured this one into my glass I noticed the light hue and proud smoky scent. Then the taste with hints of sour confirmed how similar gratzers and lichtenhainers are. I can taste the Bamberg smoked malts. It’s a good smoked wheat beer without any silt in the bottom. I would like to drink another. Overall Happiness – 5 out of 7
