Evil Twin Brewing – The Cowboy smoked pilsner- 4.3 out of 7

Floral hoppy notes on top of a nice frothy head. I smell an outdoor celebration beer. The taste jumps in with a bit too much bitterness that I was concerned about given the hops. There is smoke in there, deep, way deep down in there. The Cowboy smoked pilsner is a fair pilsner that could tone down the hops a bit, but an honest smoked pilsner that doesn’t get ridiculous with its ingredients, process, label, or name. This beer is a good beer for someone who wants something just a tad different from whatever they’re used to. Hopefully, this beer will persuade some to step into a bold, robust smokebeer. The Cowboy makes it just over the hump with an overall 4.3 smokestacks out of 7.
